I love all things using a needle or hook. I've sewn all my life and I have never been able to sit without working on something. People comment about how much patience I have. My answer is, "It isn't patience. It's excessive compulsive sewing!"

More pics of Vince
Guess What?! More Pictures of Vince! I just had to add these. The Michael Jordan outfit is just too cute. Even though it is a little big, it is adorable. The second outfit is one that Chris got in Germany it is so soft and cuddly. I just love it! Well, he is soft and cuddly and the outfit just makes him more cuddly. Thanks Chris for the cuddles. There is another outfit but he doesn't fit it yet. The German fabric is so soft.
Ok Crystal. You asked for more pictures and now you got them. I think I should retitle my blog. It started out a sewing blog and it's turned into a grandchildren blog. I should call it My Favorite Things. Then it would cover sewing and grandchildren!

Third Posting In One Day! Randy & Vince
Kenzie Ready to Party
Since I just added pictures of Vince it's only fair to add Kenzie's picture too. She was all ready to go to the benefit for John Barrus. She is wearing the smocked plaid dress I gave her for Christmas with black velvet collar and cuffs and red bullion roses. Her hair was pulled back from the sides and tied with red ribbons.
Kenzie danced until after 11:00 that night. She loves to party.
I'm not sure how much money was raised for John but the support was simply amazing. He is loved by many. There were at a minimum of 450 people in attendance and the donations were staggering.

UFO #1 It wasn't even on the list!
I have had this little quilt almost done for so long. Chris and I went on a shop-a-thon to Laramie, Cheyenne, and Ft Collins last year and I took this with me as a project I could work on. I got a few inches of binding done and haven't touched it since. Keep in mind that this monster is 10 1/2"x11 1/2". It took literally minutes to finish! I never finished it because I don't know what to do with it! My kitchen has no free wall space! I think I will add magnets and slap it on the refrigerator!
John's Graduation Quilt
John Calkins graduated from High School at semester. I asked Randy if I should wait until the graduation ceremony this summer to give him a quilt or do it now. I believe it was about -3 degrees when I asked that question and Randy's answer was, "Gee Mom. I don't know. Do you think he could use it NOW or this summer when it's hot out?" That was one of those questions I was sorry I even asked.
I know John is going to love the quilt because all through High School there were a few nights he slept in my big cozy chair and ottoman in the basement and he always grabbed Alan's rag quilt from the living room to cover up with.
Johns quilt was one that was on my 2007 goals list so I get to check one off. I will say one thing. I have hoarded my flannel collection for awhile now, and I need to actually use it up because my rag time quilts are starting to all look alike.
